It is a foregone that U.S consumers will no longer be around to fuel global economic growth as they did during the twenty years that ended abruptly in 2008. It will be the consumers of the emerging markets- especially the BRIC and the Next Eleven (N-11) who will propel the world economy in the twenty years. Since the Philippines is one of the Next Eleven, a consumption-led recovery will most likely characterize 2010.
